Elevator Traction

As the main load-bearing component of the elevator, the steel wire rope connects the car and the counterweight, and drives the car up and down through the frictional force of the traction wheel, which is the key to ensuring the safety of elevator operation.

Material

Elevator traction wire rope

Application

The core load-bearing and safety components of elevators, driven by traction steel wire ropes to operate the car

Steel Grade

Bright/Galvanized Carbon Steel

Structure

8X19S+FC/IWRC; 6X19S+FC/IWRC

Diameter

8-16mm

Length

500m/1000m customizable

Diameter Range:

Passenger elevators: The mainstream diameters are 8mm, 10mm, and 12mm. Among them, 8mm is suitable for small elevators with a rated load of less than 1000kg, 10mm is suitable for conventional elevators with a load of 1000-1600kg, and 12mm is mostly used for large load passenger elevators with a load of over 1600kg.

Freight elevator: with a larger diameter range, commonly 12mm, 14mm, 16mm. 12mm corresponds to a load of 2000kg or less, 14mm is suitable for 2000-3000kg, and 16mm and above are used for heavy-duty freight elevators weighing over 3000kg.

Medical elevators: often use steel wire ropes with a diameter of 10mm or 12mm, taking into account flexibility and load capacity, to meet the transportation needs of stretchers and medical equipment.

Household elevators: Due to their small load capacity (usually 400-630kg), 8mm diameter steel wire ropes are generally used.
